Thanks to the coordinated work conducted by the institutions, it was possible to provide timely support to the people.
Within the framework of operations to support the inhabitants, troops of Colombian National Army, through the Infantry Battalion N.° 21, in coordination with the Humanitarian Demining Engineers Battalion N.° 4, assisted people in the Dos Quebradas sector, in the municipality of Granada, Meta department, in a flood emergency.
The assistance to this situation was carried out jointly with relief agencies and local authorities, including the Fire Brigade, the Civil Defense and the Municipal Mayor's Office, with the aim of safeguarding the integrity of the inhabitants and mitigating the damages generated by the emergency.
During the activity, the troops carry out embarkation and disembarkation maneuvers to facilitate evacuation and support to the communities, in addition to coordinating logistical and security actions in the area.
In the same way, communication is permanent with the personnel in the operation, working for the proper development of activities and coordination with the superior command.
