Troops of the National Army, thwart in the north of the country, two terrorist operations intended to be carried out by members of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Eln, frente Camilo Torres Restrepo, in the municipality of Curumaní, Cesar.
The first incident was reported in the urban area of this municipality. There was the arrest in flagrante delicto of the individuals known as alias Yeison and Deiner, alleged members of that GAO, who had in their possession two fragmentation grenades, which were going to be thrown by these individuals to the Police Station of the sector.
These people were given to the authorities, who will be in charge of carrying out their judicial process.
At the same time, in the municipality El Bolsillo, two gas cylinders with explosives were found by troops and neutralized, intended to be planted by members of this gang in the drainage pipes of the municipality of Curumaní, to attack the civilians and Military Forces of the place.
The National Army rejects the use of such improvised explosive devices, which violate human rights and violate the international humanitarian law through the use of unconventional means and methods of warfare expressly prohibited in the various international treaties and protocols.
