The Christmas season and New Year’s parties took place with success in security issues, where soldiers of the Brigade No.22 accompanied the transit of nationals and foreigners in the department of Guaviare and the south of Meta.

Since the last sixth of December and until Tuesday, January 10, 2023, Puente de Reyes, the Travel Confident campaign was continuously active, which led to locals and visitors to enjoy the holiday season for the end of the year and the beginning of another. The soldiers secured tourist sites, roads, water tributaries, as well as the urban area of the municipalities and rural area of the entire department of Guaviare.

There were more than 800 men and women along the main roads and rural areas of the municipalities of San José, Calamar, El Retorno, Miraflores in Guaviare and Puerto Concordia south of the Meta. It should be noted that 29 checkpoints were on the different roads of the department, to give peace of mind to about 6,400 visitors who traveled in 1,600 vehicles.

This is how the National Army, hand in hand with the authorities of the region, serve the people and promote general prosperity, since the holiday season generated new income for Guaviare families; in the same way the military operations continues seeking to neutralize security threats from multiple fronts in this department.
