More than 50 kilos of cocaine hydrochloride were found by troops; this product had as its final destination the country of Venezuela.
After a work carried out by the National Army and through an inter-institutional operation with the Attorney General's Office, men of the Eighteenth Brigade of the National Army, found more than 50 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, which would belong to Organized Armed Group, GAO, ELN, Eastern war front.
This operation was executed thanks to the information provided in real time by the civic participation support network, who alerted the troops about a possible criminal operation in the vicinity of the La Avilena sector, rural area of Arauca, of the department of Arauca.
At the time of the procedure, it was possible to find 30 containers with approximately 150 gallons of acetone, a motorcycle, 117 cartridges of different caliber and two cell phones. The material found was put into custody of the authorities.
In this way, joint, coordinated and inter-institutional operations will continue to be carried out to destabilize illicit activities and the drug trafficking chain from which illegal armed groups profit, in order to continue working for the protection of life in Orinoquia and Colombians in general.
