NATIONAL NAVY AND MAYOR OF CARTAGENA UNITED FOR THE POPULATION OF BOCACHICA

jad_bocachica_6.jpg

With a wide range of State services, the Navy of Colombia and officials of the Mayor's Office of Cartagena accompanied by representatives of Family Compensation Funds, health sector, judicial, environment and pedagogy for learning among others, arrived with all their human and logistic potential at the service of the approximately 2000 inhabitants of Bocachica.

To achieve the success of this important initiative, the Navy of Colombia ordered an Amphibious Landing Ship to transport the representatives of the institutions committed to local development. A shipment full of hope, optimism, solidarity and reciprocity, accompanied the social operation that lasted for more than seven hours.

More than 700 personalized consultations were made during the activity, which in the same way counted on the active participation of the interdisciplinary group of Implementation of the Social Emergency Plan, PES, of the District Mayor's Office of the heroic city.

The services provided to the community included small and medium-sized business consultancies, through the Women's Bank, and also on access to Justice, Environment Talks, general medicine care, vaccination, sexual education and pregnancy in teenagers. The women of this community in the same way received beauty and self-care services, while the children and adolescents enjoyed the entertaining activities and recreation provided by the Colombian Navy.

In the framework of the Protection of the Environment, the Navy of Colombia led, in coordination with the civilian population, the cleaning of beaches, beautification of the environment and the preservation of the habitat of marine animals.
