National Navy captures three extortionists in Buenaventura, Valle del Cauca

Buenaventura. In different territorial control operations carried out in the urban area of ​​the Buenaventura District, in the department of Valle del Cauca, the National Navy in coordination with the National Police and the Technical Investigation Corps -CTI, made the capture of three extortionists. The operations were directed by naval intelligence.

 

The first captured, 32, had arrest warrant issued by the Municipal Criminal Court of the City of Cartagena - Bolívar, for the crime of aggravated conspiracy and aggravated extortion.

 

This individual was wanted because he intimidated with death threats several inhabitants of the city of Cartagena, to extort them. In order to evade the judicial operation, he fled to Buenaventura, but thanks to the rapid operation of the Unified Group for Personal Freedom - Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Buenaventura, it was possible to capture him in the urban area of ​​this district.

 

In the same way, in La Palera sector, in Buenaventura, the Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) of the National Navy, in coordination with the Technical Investigations Corps -CTI, a 19-year-old individual was captured when he collected money from extortion. The individual who intimidated the merchants of the sector and owners of the boats, demanded money in exchange for not threatening them. He had a rifle, a magazine and two cartridges, which used to intimidate the community. According to the investigations, this individual was part of the Agents generator of Violence, under the command of alias "Panchis".

 

Later, in a coordinated operation with the National Police, another individual, 36, was also captured. He committed crimes in the sector of Zaragoza, rural area of ​​Buenaventura, he had with him a hand-made pistol, a magazine for pistol and seven cartridges, as well as a cell phone that apparently was used to make extortion calls to the community.

 

According to the investigations, this individual was in charge of hiding the weapons belonging to alias "Zarco", who commits crimes under the command of alias "Chumager", third in command of the Front Ernesto Che Guevara of the ELN.

 

The three individuals were put into custody of the authorities for their respective judicial process.

 

So far this year, the Pacific Naval Force has captured 177 individuals who were part of the Armed and Organized Criminal Groups, as well as the common criminality in the beach, ratifying in this way the commitment and continuous development of the operations that led to the capture of these criminals. In the same way, it invites the citizens to denounce any action that threatens the safety and tranquility of the inhabitants to the toll-free number 146 and 147.
