The Colombian Navy, through the Caribbean Naval Force, distributed more than 700 food baskets to vulnerable inhabitants in the insular region of Cartagena, in the department of Bolivar.
This activity carried out during the preventive isolation ordered by the National Government, has successfully benefited more than 2,000 inhabitants in their own houses, who have received basic supplies, thanks to the joint effort conducted by the public and private sectors.
On this occasion, men and women of the Colombian Navy Risk Management and Disaster Management Company carried out the distribution of face masks, in order to encourage their use for the containment of COVID-19, in the region.
These elements of sanitary protection were prepared by men of the Navy infantry, who, motivated by their vocation of service, contribute to the protection of the lives of the inhabitants.
