Bolivar. In the in recent hours, the National Navy evacuated a Swiss citizen in the archipelago of San Bernardo, after having suffered the sting of a scorpion.
The Coveñas Coast Guard Station received a call from a hotel in Isla Múcura, requesting support to evacuate a foreign tourist who suffered a scorpion sting in her abdomen. Immediately the Naval Institution set up a Rapid Reaction Unit to take her with two companions to the health checkpoint in Santa Cruz del Islote where she received timely medical assistance.
The National Navy will continue to provide support and security to the island populations of the Colombian Caribbean and reaffirms availability 24 hours a day on line 146 to report any emergency situation.
