Antioquia. In a fluvial search and control operation, the National Navy managed to find rudimentary machinery used in illegal mining activities in the department of Antioquia.
Men of the Infantry Battalion N ° 17 of the Marine Infantry Brigade N ° 1 found in the rural area of the municipality of Caucasia - Antioquia, three rudimentary dredges and six motor pumps, which were used for the illegal exploitation of mining deposits.
The individuals that were in the place, when noticing the presence of the authorities, escaped leaving the machinery abandoned. The material was put into custody of the Police Inspector of the municipality of Caucasia.
