Bolivar. The National Navy managed to recover a minor, who belonged to the Organized Armed Group “Clan del Golfo”, in the municipality of Carmen del Darién, in Department of Chocó.
Troops of the Infantry Battalion No.16 of the Marine Infantry Brigade No.1, attached to the TITÁN Joint Task Force, carried out search and control operations in the area of Domingodó, municipality of Carmen del Darién, Department of Chocó, where the voluntary surrender of the minor of age occurred.
The 17-year-old boy said he did not carry identity documents. He gave the troops two AK47 caliber 7.62. For eight months the belonged to the substructure 'Roberto Vargas Gutiérrez' of the gang “Clan del Golfo” which commits crimes in the department of Chocó.
The child was taken to the facilities of the Infantry Battalion No.16 in Turbo, Department of Antioquia and will be put into custody of the Colombian Family Wellbeing Institute, for the restitution of his rights.
