The accreditation in high quality of this program was renewed by the Ministry of National Education in December 2017
Cartagena. The Naval Academy of Cadets "Almirante Padilla" besides forming Naval Officers integrally, also trains professionals in different areas. A young man who has completed four years of school and became Lieutenant of Corvette or Second Lieutenant of Marine Infantry. In addition to this, he obtains a professional title in Nautical Sciences for merchants, Professional in Naval Sciences for Officers of Marine Infantry or Professional in Naval Sciences for Naval Officers.
This academic program recently obtained the renewal of the qualified registry by the Ministry of National Education, by Resolution number 10300 of June 27, 2018, for seven years, counted from the renewal of the High Quality Accreditation of the program supported in Resolution 29156 of December 26, 2017.
The Naval Science Program for Naval Officers obtained the Qualified Registry in 1999 for the first time. In 2011 it obtained the Accreditation in high quality, becoming one of the five undergraduate programs with this important condition in the Naval Academy of Cadets "Almirante Padilla".
It consists of eight semesters with 121 academic credits. Admission process begins each semester.
