The individual had an arrest warrant in force for the offences of association to commit aggravated offences and trafficking, manufacture or carrying narcotics.
In the course of an inter-institutional operation conducted by the Colombian Navy and the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the prosecutor's Office, on the weekend in the city of Sincelejo, arrested an individua, who would be a member of an organized crime group, GDO, that perpetrates drug trafficking.
The operation was carried out by troops of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Sucre and units of the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the prosecutor's Office, who thanks to valuable information and in compliance with a court order, found and arrested this individual on public roads in La Ford neighborhood, in the capital city of the department of Sucre.
With the arrest of this individual, who is charged with the crimes of association to commit aggravated crimes and trafficking, manufacture or carrying of narcotic drugs, the logistical and financial structures of these criminal organizations, which have criminal interference in the subregion of the Gulf of Morrosquillo and the Montes de María, are severely weakened. The arrested individual was put into custody of the judicial authorities.
