As part of the National Government's commitment to mitigate the effects of Covid-19, the Colombian Navy, through the Pacific Naval Force, transported more than 140 tons of humanitarian aid, represented in 7,000 food baskets, arranged by the Ministry of the Interior, to be distributed to the inhabitants of the municipalities of San Juan, Docordó, Bajo Baudo and Pizarro, in the framework of the program: One Million Families (Un Millón de Familias)

Aboard the ship ARC Bahía Colombia, dozens of military embarked the aid, with basic elements of the family basket, to be distributed to these communities, where the only means of access are by sea and air.

After three days of navigation, covering nearly 100 nautical miles and thanks to the coordinated effort conducted by the Colombian Navy and the Local and Departmental Administrations, the inhabitants of this community received these essential products in their homes during Preventive Isolation due to COVID-19.
