As part of the commitment to the coastal communities of the Pacific, more than 400 inhabitants benefited in development support activity.
In 2025, the Pacific Naval Force has carried out 18 Development Support Activities, benefiting about 28 thousand people of the Colombian Pacific coast.
The Colombian Navy, in coordination with public and private institutions, benefited about 400 inhabitants of the Community Council of the Black Communities of Juanchaco, coastal area of Buenaventura – Valle del Cauca, through a Development Support Activity, in which different medical services were provideed, as well as the distribution of humanitarian aid, medicines and food, with the aim of improving the quality of life of its inhabitants.
In the course of this important activity, general medicine, dentistry, psychology, social work, vaccination and veterinary care services were provided. In the same way, the distribution of humanitarian aid, food donations, first necessity aid items and distribution of medicines that will contribute to the well-being and development of the people of Buenos Aires, were carried out.
The activity was led by the Pacific Naval Force, together with the Logistics Agency of the Pacific Regional Military Forces, the Pacific Mission Support Command –COAMI-, the National Police; the Cardio Clinic, Pacific Naval Patrol and Social Transforma foundations, who contributed to this important event that positively get these communities.
During the year 2025, the Pacific Naval Force, through its military operations units and logistical and human resources, have carried out 18 development support activities, in which nearly 28 thousand people benefited from activities aimed at contributing to and strengthening the social wellbeing of communities. These activities not only mitigate immediate vulnerabilities, but in the same way promote State activities and coordinated work conducted by public and private institutions.
The Colombian Navy reaffirms its commitment to the comprehensive development of the most vulnerable communities, making all its resources and human talent available, leading initiatives that generate and strengthen the values of solidarity, service and hope throughout the country.
