The Development Support Activities were carried out in Santa Cruz de Islote and in the indigenous people of the Zen煤 ethnic group of the El Reparo municipality.
In a coordinated work conducted by the Navy of Colombia, the Municipal Mayor's Office of Cove帽as with the support of public, private and non-profit organizations, two medical and wellbeing activities were carried out benefiting more than 800 people in the departments of Bolivar and Sucre.
500 inhabitants of Santa Cruz del Islote, in the Archipelago of San Bernardo, Bol铆var and 310 inhabitants of the indigenous people of the ethnic group Zenu in the municipality of Cove帽as, Sucre, benefited with an activity of health care services in general medicine, optometry, dentistry, speech therapy, and psychology, among others.
During the activities, the distribution of donations, cultural and recreation activities, animation and balloon twisting were carried out with the accompaniment of Valeria Ayos, Miss Universe 2021, bringing joy to the children and young people of these communities of the Colombian Caribbean.
Additionally, the Futuro Colombia program was presented by the Attorney General's Office, which aims to carry out comprehensive prevention operations of different criminal phenomena at the social, community and individual levels.
At the end of the Development Support Activity, the children, young people and adolescents of the indigenous people of the Zen煤 ethnic group of the municipality of El Reparo, enjoyed for the first time, the magic of the seventh art, within the framework of the crossing of the Route 90 of Cine colombia.
These activities, led by the Colombian Navy through the Navy Infantry Battalion No.14, the Navy Infantry Training Base and the Cove帽as Coast Guard Station, with the support of the Cove帽as Municipal Mayor's Office, the Attorney General's Office, the Fundaci贸n Hilos de Esperanza, the Regalando Amor Foundation, the Cejitas Foundation and Super Giros, seek to bring Unified State operation to the most vulnerable and hard-to-reach inhabitants in this region of the country.
