Civil and military authorities together with community leaders participated in the Security Council convened to provide support for the intimidation and threats apparently originated by outlaw groups, who intend to attack the peace of the inhabitants of El Carmen de Bolívar.

At the moment, the Rear Admiral Juan Ricardo Rozo Obregón, Commander of the Caribbean Naval Force, is leading the deployment of troops to reinforce security operations, which are permanently deployed in the Montes de María subregion.

Upon arrival, he met with the Legal Representative of the Asociación Mujeres Sembrando Vida (Women Sowing Life Association), Yirley Velazco Garrido, who ratified and thanked the Permanent accompaniment by the Colombian Navy during the process of overcoming the traces of the violence of which they were victims.

In the municipality, the Military Forces review in detail the acts of intimidation that intended to alter the stability of the inhabitants, who have been worried as a mechanism to attack their tranquility and also to influence on the legitimacy of the Military Forces.
