Navy finds and destroys 8 illegal structures for the drug production process in Caquetá and Putumayo

Units of the Colombian Navy, organic of the Southern Naval Force, during surveillance, interdiction and river safety operations, find 409 kilos of solid precursors, 1,373 gallons of liquid precursors, 270 gallons of coca paste in process and 180 kilos of macerated coca leaf.

 

The operations were carried out in different places in the departments of Caquetá and Putumayo, where the Colombian Navy, jointly with troops of the National Army and coordinated with units of the National Police, found and destroyed under controlled conditions eight drug production illegal structures.

 

With the destruction of these illegal structures and the discovery of precursors for drug production, the finances of criminal organizations that commit crimes in the south east of the country are severely hit and the environmental damage is reduced.

 

The found elements and the three individuals captured in flagrante delicto were put into custody of the authority.
