Valle del Cauca. In the last few hours, the Pacific Naval Force, through the units of the Navy Infantry Brigade No.2, in operations which have been carried out in coordination with the National Police, captured four members of the Organized Criminal Group "La Local", who had with them war materiel, in the neighborhood Alberto Lleras Camargo, in the third locality of the port of Buenaventura, in the department of Valle del Cauca.
The events occurred at the moment in which Military Units of Buenaventura, with the support of troops of the Navy Infantry Battalion No. 21 and the Special Operations Group of the National Police of Cali, carried out coordinated security search and control operations, in one of the localities with the highest rates of violence in the municipality, in compliance with the permanent commitment of the Security forces in its frontal fight against the threats in this important port city of the Colombian Pacific.
The soldiers proceeded to verify the sector, obtaining the capture of four members of the Organized Criminal Group "La Local" and the finding of a rifle CQ-AR15 caliber 5.56 millimeters, two magazines and 125 cartridges of the same caliber, two pistols Pietro Beretta, a Glock 17 pistol, a CZ-100 pistol, 88 cartridges, 9 mm caliber and a 38 mm caliber Martial Flame revolver.
The materials and those captured were put into custody of the Attorney General's Office, for the respective judicial process for the crime of manufacture, trafficking, carrying or possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition and also violence against the public servant.
