Thanks to valuable information provided by Colombian Navy Intelligence, it was possible to find 2,193 kilos of cocaine hydrochloride and a motor ship in Panamanian waters.

In two multinational operations conducted by authorities in Colombia, the United States and Panama, and under the fifth phase of the Orion Naval Campaign, it was possible to find 2,193 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride and a go fast boat in waters of the Atlantic Ocean waters in Panama.

The first operation was reported in the Tubuala sector, in Panama, when in patrols of control of maritime traffic, the National Aeronaval Service - SENAN, through naval and air means, along with units of the United States Coast Guard, intercept a speedboat, which upon noticing the presence of the authorities, threw several sacks into the sea and escaped.

The Units recover the bags and after being verified by the authorities they found that they contained 1,243 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride. The motor ship in which the drug was transported was immobilized.

The second operation occurred thanks to the information provided by the Colombian Navy Naval Intelligence to SENAN, which led to the interdiction of a motor ship in Isla de Pino, in Panama. The crew of the ship, upon noticing the presence of the Naval Units, left the cargo in the sea with 950 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride. On this occasion, although the drug was found, the boat escaped.

The material found in both operations, has a cost close to 74 million dollars on the international black market, and was put into custody of the authorities.
