In compliance with the Bicentenary Campaign Plan Héroes de la Libertad, the Joint Task Force for Stabilization and Consolidation Hércules continues to conduct its operation against the structures of Organized Armed Groups that commit crimes in the Pacific Region of Nariño.
In decisive operation to mitigate the factors of instability, troops of the Joint Task Force of the Stabilisation and Consolidation Hercules, in development of coordinated military operation with the National Police and inter agency with the office of the Prosecutor General of the Nation, neutralized an individual identified by the alias Jhonathan, accused of being the ringleader of the Organised Armed Group - residual, GAO-r, Structure, Contadores, who spied on the Military Forces.
Thanks to military intelligence efforts, soldiers of the Jungle Battalion No.53,engaged an armed combat absent members of this criminal structure in the municipality of Sabaleta in the District of Tumaco, where as a result they report the neutralization of alias Jhonathan, who was one of the most wanted in the District of Tumaco.
In the same way, he was in charge of coordinating, leading and executing the criminal activities, such as the collection of money from extortion of merchants, targeted killings of social leaders, the recruitment of minors, the collection of war material activities aimed at drug trafficking, mass organization and control over public demonstrations against the Military Forces.
At present, this individual had nine arrest warrants and was required by the authorities for the offence of illegal carrying of weapons, association to commit crimes, aggravated homicide, extortion, terrorism, forced recruitment and threats against human rights defenders and public servants.
At the scene of the events it was in the same way possible to find four pistols, two fragmentation grenades, magazines and a means of communication, this material was put into custody of the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation.
With this result, the armed component of this criminal organization, responsible for homicides, criminal acts and clashes with other structures of drug trafficking, will be hit.
