Within the framework of military operations, in the rural area of the village of Bordo in the municipality of Patía, Cauca, soldiers of the High Mountain Battalion No. 4, through checkpoints, found one and a half tons of cocaine hydrochloride.
The drug was being transported by the road that connects to the villages of El Estrecho and El Bordo, in a van-type vehicle that had been prepared with a hidden compartment.
During the military operation, the person driving this vehicle was arrested and put into custody of the authorities for prosecution.
With this result, it was possible to damage the drug trafficking chains by more than 10,000 million pesos and the financing of the residual organized armed groups that commit crimes in the southwest of the country.
