This result hit the illegal finances for the support of the Residual Organized Armed Group (GAO-r) Segunda Marquetalia, Structure Group 48.
Within the framework of the Ayacucho Plan, in an operation carried out by troops of the Command Against Drug Trafficking and Transnational Threats, CONAT, in support of the military units of the Third Division of Colombian National Army, in coordination with the National Police, it was possible to find and dismantle an illicit laboratory used for the production of cocaine hydrochloride in the rural area of the municipality of Puerres, in the department of Nariño.
The military operation was carried out thanks to the information provided by military intelligence, which led to the finding and destruction of the rudimentary complex, where drugs, liquid and solid supplies and elements for its operation were found by troops.
More than 1,500 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, 339.6 kilograms of cocaine base, more than 500 gallons of liquid supplies (acetone, hydrochloric acid and DIESEL) and more than 200 kilograms of solid supplies (potassium permanganate) were found by troops, as well as machinery and equipment, represented in distillation tower, microwave ovens, hydraulic press, drying tables, analog balance, a heater, an power generator, a big dredge, an electric pump, containers of different sizes, which are elements used for the production of the narcotic.
Through this result, the illegal structures that commit crimes in the region loss more than 9,000 million pesos, especially the residual organized armed group GAO-r Segunda Marquetalia Structura Grupo 48, responsible for homicides, criminal acts and armed clashes with other structures specialized in drug trafficking in this region of the country.
It is important to highlight that the residues of these chemical substances that were generated in this rudimentary laboratory were being poured indiscriminately to the soils and water sources of the region, significantly and irreparably polluting the environment.
