The pressure of the military operation exerted on strategic points of the department of Huila, continues to report powerful results against the illicit activities of the residual organized armed groups. This time thanks to the finding of 56 kilos of marijuana.
This is how, within the framework of military control operations of the area, troops of the Ground Artillery Battalion N潞 9 Tenerife of the Ninth Brigade, in coordination with units of the Special Operations Group of the Metropolitan Police of Neiva, found three sacks abandoned on the side of the road, in the village of Flandes, municipality of Yaguar谩.
During the operation, 109 pressed packages of marijuana were found by troops inside the sacks. The amount found would be representing about 56,000 individual doses of narcotics, with an estimated marketing cost of close to 168 million pesos.
The illicit substance, which remains in custody for its respective prosecution, would have as its origin rural areas bordering the department of Cauca, where the Ismael Ruiz Structure of the Isa铆as Pardo Central Bloc, intends to maintain its criminal activity through mobility and collection routes.
Through this finding, a new direct damage to the finances of this armed group was possible, weakening not only its criminal economy, but in the same way its logistical capacity to sustain criminal activities in the southeast of the country.
The operation was made possible thanks to the permanent operations established on highways, which aims to anticipate illegal movements and cut off drug trafficking routes.
