New flight simulators of the Colombian Air Force train transport pilots

cogfm-fuerza-aerea-colombiana-nuevos-simuladores-de-vuelo-entrenan-a-los-pilotos-de-transporte-01.jpg

In order to strengthen the instruction and training of pilots, the Military Transport Air Command CATAM, acquired three flight simulators the Entrol A11/B350GT FTD, the Alsim-ALX and the VAPT (Virtual Avionics procedures Trainer); which have state-of-the-art systems that will help the Institution's transport crews to be effectively trained.

The sophisticated simulators are the exact replica of a Super King-350 cabin, in the case of the Entrol. The Alsim covers a light jet cabin and a medium jet and the METP a medium size and the VAPT a multifunctional cabin of the Boeing fleet. These machines have all their instruments, avionics and functions, which will ensure the optimal training of crew members, as well as the training of trainers, strengthening the operational safety as a priority for the Colombian Air Force.

The technology of this equipment leads the crews of the SK-350, Boeing C-40, 727 and 767 aircraft to become familiar with any aerodrome and landscape of the world, conduct normal exercises and emergency procedures as well as assess risks before training flights.

In this way, the Colombian Air Force continues its modernization and training process, acquiring new knowledge as flight techniques used in aviation around the world.
