Noncommissioned officers of the SouthCom of the United States visit the Navy in Coveñas

The Navy Training Base in Coveñas, Sucre, was visited by the Chief Technician Officer Ervin H. Byrd, Chief Technical Officer of the Naval Force of the Southern Command of the United States, who was accompanied by the sergeant major of the Navy infantry Eric D. Cook; the Sergeant Major of the Southern Command, Sergeant Major Danny Gómez, Director of the Petty Officer Program of the Associated Nations of the Southern Command, and Sergeant Major Roberto Carlos Martinez, Senior Petty Officer of the Military Group of the Embassy of U.S.

 

They were accompanied by the Chief Technician Alirio González, Command Advisor of the Colombian Navy and the Sergeant Diego Tabares, Advisor of the Navy Command, who toured the facilities of the Navy Training School, the International Amphibious Training Center and the Training Center for Peace Operations, where they learned about the Career Plan of the NCOs of the Colombian Navy.

 

In addition, there was an exchange of information and knowledge on the current capabilities of the Navy infantry and how these units contribute to training procedures. The delegation will take some ideas and procedures to study further implementation in its country military Forces and Colombia receive advice from the foreign military.
