In order to protect natural resources and weaken the illegal finances of the residual Organized Armed Groups, GAO-r, which commit crimes in the south of the country, the Colombian Air Force in a joint operation with the National Army, coordinated with the Police and interagency with the Prosecutor's Office, gave an important blow to illegal mining in the rural area of La Primavera village, municipality of San José del Fragua, Caquetá.

This was how it was possible to find and neutralize materials used for the illicit extraction of open-pit mining deposits; in turn, during the operation, three alleged members of the residual GAO, Structure 62 Miller Perdomo, were arrested, who were put into custody of the Prosecutor's Office of Florencia, where they will be charged with the crime of illicit extraction of mining deposits and damage to natural resources.

During the operation, six engines suitable as five dredgers were destroyed, as well as six groups of gold material classifiers and 300 meters of pipe and other material, used to carry out the illegal activity; the individuals received approximately $ 1,092,000,000 million pesos monthly.
