Operation against drug trafficking continues in the Department of La Guajira. Colombian Army seized war items and more than 200 kg of cocaine

Continúa ofensiva contra el narcotráfico en La Guajira. Ejército Nacional incautó material de guerra y más de 200 kg de cocaína

In this way, the finances of the GAO Clan del Golfo are hit by more than 2,000 million pesos as well as its armed capacity is weakened.

 

Within the framework of the Campaign Plan of the Ayacucho military operation, soldiers of the Tenth Brigade, in coordination with the National Police, made the finding of a hideout of war items and a collection center for illicit drugs at the service of the Francisco José Morelo Peñate substructure, of the GAO Clan del Golfo, in the village Camarones, of the municipality of Riohacha, Department of La Guajira.

 

Soldiers of the Mechanized Infantry Battalion No.6 Cartagena, found and destroyed in controlled conditions a collection center for illicit drugs, which had more than 200 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, ready to be marketed and distributed.

 

 In the same way, an illegal hideout was found with the following war items: 9 rifles of different calibers, 13 magazines and 4,000 cartridges, with which they planned to attack the inhabitants and the Military Forces.
