In recent days, 16 criminals from different organized and criminal armed groups have already been arrested by the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group). They through intimidation and extortion methods, seek to intimidate and take away the property of civilians.
In the permanent operation to counteract the crimes of extortion and kidnapping, the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Tumaco in coordination with the National Police arrested four members at the service of alias Jeison ringleader of the Residual Organized Armed Group Urías Rondón in charge of the express kidnapping and the collection of money from extortion against, it should be noted that at the time of the arrest were found by troops two rifles, a pistol, 447 cartridges, 12 magazines, a pixelated vest, two cell phones and a Chevrolet vehicle, elements that were put into custody of the Prosecutor's Office of Tumaco.
In the same way, in a joint, coordinated and intelligence operation, led by the Cundinamarca Military Gaula and the Attorney General's Office, six members were arrested, allegedly at the service of outlaw groups such as the ELN, the GAO Clan del Golfo and Residual Organized Armed Groups. These operations were carried out simultaneously in Medellín, Ibagué and La Dorada, Caldas. It was possible to neutralize the criminal operations of these organizations that commit crimes in different regions of the country.
For its part, within the framework of the Ayacucho Plan, the units of Norte de Santander, Caquetá, Cauca, Chocó, Nariño and Buenaventura, carried out arrest operations by judicial order in coordination with the Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) of the Police, the National Police and the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Attorney General's Office reporting the arrest of six individuals for the crimes of simple kidnapping, extortion kidnapping, aggravated extortion kidnapping, association to commit aggravated crimes and other crimes.
