The troops conduct powerful actions that have led to affecting the criminal capacity and sources of financing of the organizations that commit crimes in these areas of the country.
In the framework of operations carried out simultaneously by soldiers of the Eleventh Brigade of Colombian National Army, results were obtained against the illegal finances of the organized armed groups in the departments of Antioquia and Córdoba.
The first military action took place in the village of Santa Inés, in the municipality of Valdivia, department of Antioquia. At the site, soldiers of the Light Infantry Battalion No. 31 Rifles found a rustic structure with 50 gallons of liquid ammonia, 200 gallons of DIESEL, barrels, lime, cement, a sprayer, among other elements and supplies for the production of coca base paste; there were in the same way 3 seedbeds with 1500 coca leaf seedlings.
As it could be established, this illicit laboratory would be used to finance the GAOr 36 Structure and with its destruction an economic loss of 25 million pesos is generated, in addition to 5000 doses of the narcotic that cease to be produced.
In the second operation reported in the municipality of Tierralta, department of Córdoba, troops of the Light Infantry Battalion N° 33 Junín destroyed in controlled conditions 4 laboratories, in which 300 kilos of lime, 50 kilos of urea, 442 gallons of gasoline, 1270 gallons of DIESEL and 100 gallons of ammonia were found by troops.
In this case, those production centers would be at the service of the Javier Yepes Cantero Substructure of the Gulf, GAO, Clan del Golfo Cartel, and through this result it was possible to weaken their finances by about 30 million pesos.
