The Colombian Air Force, in coordination with the National Police and the Attorney General's office, carried out an operation in the municipality of Honda, Tolima, achieving the dismantling of a group and the capture of 20 people belonging to the criminal structure known as Los Limpios, who would have interference in municipalities of the departments of Cundinamarca, Caldas and in the North of Tolima.
This criminal group, which had been engaged in illegal activity through the sale and distribution of narcotic drugs for about a year, perpetrated illegal activities that provided them with an illegal income in excess of $30,000,000 million pesos per week, as a result of the sale of hallucinogenic substances to minors and adolescents; the substances are known as marijuana, bazuco, perico, among other narcotic drugs.
During the operation, 18 search procedures were carried out in the neighborhoods Santa Lucia, Magdalena, El Obrero, Pachigua, Villa Honda, Planadas, Caracolí of the municipality of Honda, as well as in the municipality of Puerto Bogotá, in the municipality of Guaduas, in Cundinamarca, and in Ibagué, in the neighborhood Villa Del Guarala, achieving the materialization and capture of these individuals who were accused of trafficking, manufacture or transport of narcotic drugs. In the operation it was in the same way possible to find two precision scales, six mobile cellular phones and two motorcycles.
The individuals and the items were put into custody of the specialized Anti-Narcotics prosecutor's Office of Ibagué, and will be presented in a virtual hearing in the next few hours.
The detention of these persons not only reduces criminal rates in Northern Tolima, especially in the municipality of Honda and surrounding areas in other departments such as La Dorada, Caldas and the municipality of Puerto Bogota, but in the same way strengthens measures to ensure security in this region of the country.
