For the first time the Colombian Aerospace Force is carrying out a demanding military exercise in the extreme south of the country to train crews and special commandos in personnel recovery procedures in rainforest environments.
Poseidon Amazonas 2024 takes place in Leticia, and has the participation of aircraft and helicopters including the A-29 Supertucano, C-208 Caravan and UH-60 Black Hawk.
As an opening, a demonstration of the skills of the members of the military parachuting team Eagle of Gules was held when descending from an approximate height of 7 thousand feet, which reminds people that the Colombian Aerospace Force is present in any region of the national territory and in the same way occurs within the framework of the month of national holidays.
During Poseidon Amazonas 2024, training missions of the Institution's resources are carried out, such as close air support to troops on the ground, as well as search and rescue in combat, with the purpose of practicing and integrating the procedures of the different teams, consolidating knowledge and working in synergy.
