The Colombian Air Force sent a Cassa C-295 ambulance aircraft to carry seven people who were seriously injured after the explosion of a tanker on the road near the inhabitants of Tasajera in the department of Magdalena, who will be treated in Bogot谩 in order to guarantee their recovery.

Around 5:00 p.m. the aircraft flying from Santa Marta landed in CATAM, where in coordination with personnel of the Air Combat Command No.3 (CACOM No.3) and the Military Transport Air Command (CATAM), fulfilled the mission of simultaneously transferring seven people with extensive burns on the body surface who will be treated at the Sim贸n Bol铆var Hospital. During the journey to the country's capital, and to guarantee the stability of the patients, they were constantly monitored. Two of the patients required constant support with the equipment on board the aircraft.

To carry out the mission, a team of 10 health professionals, including doctors and nurses, as well as vital signs monitors and individual intensive care units, were prepared to operate autonomously during the flight.

In the same way, it should be noted that the crew and medical personnel followed the biosafety protocols that the Air Institution has arranged to carry out transfers, in the midst of the situation that the country is currently facing due to Covid-19.

The Colombian Air Force, through the National Personnel Recovery Center (CNRP), provides the air and personnel resources to face any type of emergency in order to guarantee the well-being of all Colombians.
