Complying with all protocols established for the transport of patients with COVID-19, the Colombian Air Force sent a UH-60 Angel helicopter, to conduct the aeromedical evacuation of a Non-Commissioned Officer and two soldiers of the National Army, who presented symptoms associated with the Coronavirus.

From the rural area of the municipality of Sardinata, to C煤cuta, in the Department of Norte de Santander, patients were transported on individual flights, with medical equipment on board and in a special capsule for transfer them to a specialized medical center.

During the flights, each of the men was monitored by a doctor, a paramedic and a nurse, prepared in the care of COVID-19 patients and equipped with all the elements of biosecurity.

Despite the adverse weather conditions, the skill of the crew of the helicopter that took them from the Air Combat Command No.5, in Rionegro, Antioquia, led them to be transferred on time and with stable vital signs.

The Colombian Air Force remains alert in this pandemic, arranging its teams and human talent to provide immediate support to those who require it, arriving in places of difficult access, to safeguard the good physical conditions of Colombians.
