The Colombian Aerospace Force, through the Amazonas Air Group, carried out the transport of a water purifying machine that will benefit more than 1,200 inhabitants of an indigenous village on the banks of the river.
With the aim of continuing to benefit the Amazonians in the extreme south of Colombia, the GAAMA responded to the requirement efficiently so that the people of Macedonia have drinking water as part of a right that the inhabitants of this region have.
The transportation of the water processing plant was made in a Boeing 737 type aircraft attached to the Military Transport Air Command-CATAM and was given to the city of Leticia to later be sent more than 58 km upstream, where in addition to benefiting the Macedonian indigenous people, it will benefit neighboring communities such as El Vergel and the Francisco de Orellana School.
In this way, the Amazonas Air Group will continue to support efforts that contribute to the development and well-being of the department, leading young and old to safely access the drinking water supply.
