Permanent operations of the Colombian Air Force in the Urabá region in Antioquia

With the objective of strengthening security in the department of Antioquia and complying with the meetings established with Governor Aníbal Gaviria, the Colombian Air Force participated in the Security Council in Apartadó, where law and order issues are focused for the Urabá area.

 

This meeting was chaired by the Governor. In the same way, there were representatives of the Military and Police Forces of the Region, in addition to the mayors of Urabá, who expressed their requests regarding security and development for their municipalities.

 

The Commander of the Air Combat Command No.5 Colonel Jaime Andrés Betancur Londoño, participated in this Security Council, in which he ratified the commitment of the Institution, with the air means and their crews, with permanent operations in the areas of Arboletes, Necoclí, San Juan de Urabá, San Pedro de Urabá, Apartadó, Carepa, Chigorodó, Mutatá, Turbo, Murindó and Vigía del Fuerte.
