This strategy was specially designed to continue working for the wellbeing, security and defense of social leaders, human rights defenders, ethnic communities, Afro-descendant communities and signatories of the peace agreement, mainly with social work that contributes to the improvement of the quality of life.
The Colombian Military Forces designed and began to implement the Perseo Plan, with which joint, coordinated and inter-institutional operations will be strengthened throughout the national territory, and thus continue to prioritize security conditions for the prevention and also the protection of inhabitants at risk, particularly in areas where there is greater convergence of instability factors and in this way contribute to the maintenance of total peace.
In the same way, through the implementation of Comprehensive Action activities such as development support activities, environmental activities, peasant food markets and coordination with public and private institutions, initiatives that serve to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants will be taken to the most remote places.
In the same way, with the tools and knowledge of the military engineers, operations will be carried out to provide spaces and work to contribute to the social development of the communities.
In the same way, the Perseo Plan will have a gradual development with the implementation of joint, coordinated and inter-institutional efforts, which will in the same way be fundamental for the security and defense of social leaders, human rights defenders, ethnic communities, Afro-descendant communities and signatories of the peace agreement.
A very important component will in the same way be the strengthening of the judiciary and military operations. In the same way, with the evaluation and monitoring of the strategy, the impact on the safety and risk reduction of the inhabitants will be assessed, as essential requirements for obtaining a well-being environment.
This strategy, which comprehensively harmonizes five lines of effort such as intelligence, support for the judiciary, military operations, regional relations and strategic communications, seeks to weaken the structures of criminal groups, and reinforce institutional control of the territory, the protection of life and Military Forces with greater Resources adapted to the service of the Nation.
