After a sudden medical complication of a person with intellectual disability who was in the municipality of Puerto Inírida, the Air Force crews flew to the place to carry out a humanitarian mission of aeromedical transfer that would protect the good health condition of this patient.

As this site is a remote area with no land access roads, it was necessary to deploy two aircraft in ambulance a configuration; the Caravan C-208 aircraft of the Air Combat Command No. 2, which completed the route Apiay-Puerto Inírida-Apiay, where they picked up the 25-year-old man and his family to later make a transfer to the King 350 aircraft, which would transport him to Bogotá to receive specialized medical assistance.

During both flights, the military health professionals constantly monitored the patient's vital signs, providing comprehensive care with intravenous fluid, analgesia and antibiotic treatment to keep him stable and bring him in Bogotá; they were those responsible for taking him to a more complex medical center with specialists in charge of treating the pathology of this vulnerable person.

The mother of the young man, thanked this air transport indicating that this type of operations are important because people's lives prevail and many lives are saved.
