The Colombian Aerospace Force, through the Caribbean Air Group, in coordination with the Corporation for the Sustainable Development of the Archipelago of San Andrés, Providencia and Santa Catalina (CORALINA), carried out an environmental activity with the planting of plant specimens and the collection of waste in the Piknini Korner sector, Tom Hooker entrance.
The planting of these specimens aims to contribute to the environmental recovery of the area, strengthen the protection of the island and mitigate the effects of sea erosion. In the same way, this activity seeks to contribute to the stability of the coastal ecosystem and promote the sustainability of the environment in the face of current climate challenges.
This joint work conducted by the Colombian Aerospace Force and CORALINA is in the same way part of a strategy to beautify the landscape and create healthier spaces for the benefit of the people of the archipelago.
In this way, the Institution continues to strengthen its vocation of service, not only in the defense of the national airspace, but in the same way in the protection of the environment and in the execution of social responsibility operations that contribute to the progress, conservation and comprehensive security of the Colombian Caribbean.
