The Command of the Quiron Task Force, military unit of the Eighth Division of the National Army, informs:

 

1. In facts that are under investigation, on February 14, 2023, in Arauquita, Arauca, in the afternoon and, according to the first information, armed men attacked Sergeant Libey Danilo Bravo, member of the Special Energy and Highway Battalion No.1, forcing him to get into a pickup truck with an unknown destination.

 

2. Once the situation was known, the authorities were notified, in order to file a denunciation for kidnapping and, in coordination with the National Police, a Padlock plan was activated, deploying a security operation to find him.

 

3. This reprehensible action is a violation of human rights and violation of international humanitarian law, as well as a crime against humanity. It will be reported to the international organizations

 

4. The Eastern War Front of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, ELN, who commits crimes in the sector, becomes the responsible for the safety and good physical condition of our non-commissioned officer; this group would be the responsible of the kidnapping is attributed.

 

5. This command is providing psychological and spiritual support and accompaniment to his family.
