The Command of Colombian National Army informs, in relation to the journalistic article dated July 4, 2026, which deals with the alleged irregularities in some contracts processes of the Engineers Command :
As it has been officially reported since last May 9, 2026, in the face of the same facts to which reference is made, the aforementioned contractual processes correspond to construction projects aimed at improving the conditions of training and quality of life of soldiers and students in different regions of the country, which adhered to the current public procurement regulations and the principles of transparency, planning and defense of public heritage.
In response to the alleged irregularities, Colombian National Army promptly informed the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic, the Office of the Inspector General of the Nation and certified copies to the Military and Police Criminal Justice, who are currently conducting the corresponding investigations within the scope of their competencies.
The Institution conducted investigations to identify responsibilities within the framework of the pre-contractual and contractual processes that are currently the subject of questioning that led to the initiation of five disciplinary investigations and administrative decision-making.
To date, three of the aforementioned contracts have been submitted to the sanctioning administrative process, which seeks to identify the contractual breach and the corresponding responsibilities, given that the construction fronts were not presented within the established deadline.
Colombian National Army reaffirms its unrestricted commitment to compliance with the Constitution and Law, reiterating that it will continue to act firmly against any irregularity that may affect the treasury, transparency and public procurement, in order to counter situations that tarnish the selfless operation of the soldiers of Colombia and institutional legitimacy.
