Private William Jos茅 D铆az Vitola
The Command of the Joint Stabilization and Consolidation Task Force Hercules informs:
1. On June 03, 2022, troops of the Ground Operations Battalion No.16, in operations carried out in the Mojarrera village, in the municipality of Olaya Herrera, in the department of Nari帽o, were patrolling bordering the Pat铆a River; one of our soldiers accidentally fell into the water with his war material and military accessories.
2. The emergency protocols were immediately activated with the support of the Navy Infantry River Battalion No.41, of the Colombian Navy, in order to initiate the search for our Soldier.
3. After 24 hours of carrying out search downstream, on Saturday afternoon the lifeless body of Soldier William Jos茅 D铆az Vitola was found, in the Soledad village of the same municipality.
4.This Command sends a message of condolence and accompaniment to the relatives and partners of our hero who lost his life serving for the fulfillment of constitutional duty.
