La Macarena, Meta, May 29, 2022. On the murder of a voting board member, by the dissidents of the FARC, at the close of the activity in the Nueva Colombia village, of the municipality of Vista Hermosa, Meta, the Omega Joint Task Force informs that:
1. According to the first information, during the process of extracting the electoral material, the delegation of the polling station was attacked indiscriminately.
2. As a result of this attack, apparently carried out of the school in the municipality center, Mrs. Nelly Bedolla V谩squez, who was serving as a voting board member, was murdered. In the same attack, an officer was injured, who received first aid by the combat nurses and is currently waiting to be evacuated by air.
3. At this time, coordination is being carried out for the entry of the judicial authority in charge of conducting the urgent acts.
4. We condemn this act, which constitutes a flagrant violation of human rights and violates the provisions of international humanitarian law.
5. The corresponding denunciations will be made to the authority to ensure the prosecution of those responsible for this criminal act.
6. The Military Forces will strengthen operations in the region, in order to neutralize the terrorist operations of these organized armed groups.
