Forever Heroes of the National Army

 

The Command of the Seventh Division of the National Army informs:

 

 

1.    Last Friday night, April 8, a military vehicle traveling by the municipality of El Singo, rural area of the municipality of Ituango, north of Antioquia, was attacked with explosives, planted on the road, apparently by terrorists of the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, Structure 18.

 

2.    As a result of this cowardly criminal operation, the soldiers Sebastián Enrique Espitia Fuentes, Enairo Luis Martínez Arciria and Álvaro Andrés Torres Palomino were murdered.

 

An officer required priority assistance and the rest of the members of the unit are being evaluated by doctors to determine the injuries they suffered.

 

3.    This Command will file the denunciations with the Attorney General's Office for the use of illicit means and methods of war, which violates international humanitarian law.

 

4.    We send a respectful and sincere message of condolences and solidarity to the families and partners of our soldiers killed in this criminal operation.

 

5.    The National Army will continue to carry out joint military operations against the factors of instability that alter the security and tranquility of the region.
