Heroes forever…

 

The Command of the Joint Task Force for Stabilization and Consolidation Hercules informs :

 

1. On July 12, 2021, troops of the Ground Operations Battalion No.14, which are carrying out operations to guarantee the return of families displaced from this region by clashes conducted by terrorist groups that seek to maintain control of drug trafficking, in the rural area of the town La Mesa, in the municipality of Roberto Payán, Nariño, fought against members of the Franco Benavides structure of the Farc dissidents.

 

2. In the action, the soldiers Januar Jhonatan Gutiérrez Titimbo and Juan Climaco Guetocue Volveras, from Popayán and Inzá, Cauca, were killed.

 

3. In the same way, as a result of these combats, one soldier is missing and five of our men were wounded, who were immediately assisted by the combat nurses and subsequently taken by air to a specialized hospital where they receive medical assistance.

 

4. In this sector, military operations continue, with the aim of neutralizing the terrorist operations of this structure of the dissidents of the residual Organized Armed Group.

 

5. This Command sends a message of condolences and accompaniment to the families and partners of our courageous men, who gave their lives in the fulfillment of institutional duty. It will in the same way guard the speedy recovery of wounded soldiers.
