Heroes forever
The command of the eighteenth Brigade, military unit of the Eighth Division of the National Army, regrets to inform:
1. In the municipality of Palo de Agua, in the municipality of Fortul, Arauca, troops of the National Army fought with criminals apparently of the residual organized armed group Estructura Décima.
2. In the operation, the 27-year-old soldier Cristian Camilo Ortiz Franco was wounded and the combat nurses immediately provided him with first aid. Despite the efforts, the soldier died.
3. In this same event, the soldier Miguel Ángel Ramos Nuñez was injured, who was taken to the medical center of the military base of the municipality of Saravena, and is currently in recovery.
4. This command sends a message of condolences and solidarity to the family and partners of our hero fallen in the line of duty, and highlights that it will reinforce efforts to find those responsible.
5. In the area where the facts took place, military operations continue to find the criminals responsible for this operation.
