More than 60 patients of the Departmental Psychiatric Hospital Universitario del Valle benefited with the distribution of 840 diapers by the personnel of the Comprehensive operation Section of the Air Combat Command No. 7 of the Colombian Aerospace Force. This outreach activity favored people who, for the most part, belong to the subsidized regime and in a condition of high psychosocial vulnerability, with progressive chronic diseases such as cognitive ability disorders, autism and different types of dementia.
The supply of these supplies was made possible thanks to the strategic alliance with a well-known pharmaceutical company, which distributed these basic necessities to the Air Command in order to improve the quality of life of the most vulnerable people. This contribution leads to reducing the risk of infections and dermatological problems, in addition to providing greater dignity in the personal care of patients.
The hospital staff highlighted this initiative as an example of inter-institutional collaboration, demonstrating that mutual support can generate a significant impact on the care and well-being of people in a state of vulnerability.
David Mart铆nez, deputy scientific manager of this sanatorium, thanked the donation made by the military, highlighting that it will benefit patients in a state of social abandonment. In addition, he emphasized that this type of contributions leads hospital staff to work to provide better physical care alternatives, positively impacting patients' quality of life.
The Comprehensive Operation Sections of the Colombian Aerospace Force will continue to carry out social responsibility activities that generate a positive impact on people in defenseless circumstances, promoting a permanent rapprochement with the most unprotected sectors and strengthening strategic alliances with public and private institutions to reach those who need it most.
