In Puerto Asís – Putumayo, illegal hideout found with more than 298 kilograms of marijuana

En Puerto Asís – Putumayo, hallado depósito ilegal con más de 298 kilogramos de marihuana

This illegal merchandise would belong to the Residual Organized Armed Group, Structure 48, Comandos de Frontera.

Units of the Colombian Navy, during a joint operation with Colombian National Army, found an illegal hiding place inside which 282 packages with marijuana were found by troops, in the village of Puerto Gallo, a rural area of the municipality of Puerto Asís, in the department of Putumayo.

The illegal merchandise was being hidden in the middle of the thick Amazonian vegetation, when it was found by troops of the Navy Infantry River Battalion No. 30 of the Colombian Navy and the Infantry Battalion No. 27 of Colombian National Army, thanks to information provided by the Amazon Information Fusion Center.

The substance contained in the packages was analyzed by the authorities, determining that it was 298 kilograms of creepy-type marijuana, which apparently belonged to the Residual Organized Armed Group, Structure 48, Comandos de Frontera and planned to be transported to Brazil. The material found was put into custody of the Attorney General's Office.
