As part of a joint and coordinated operation aimed at weakening the resources of the criminal structures that commit crimes in the south of the country, the Colombian Navy, in coordination with Colombian National Army, the Colombian Aerospace Force and the National Police, arrested an alleged member of the support networks for the Residual Organized Armed Group - GAOr- Carolina Ramirez Structure, in the department of Putumayo.
The procedure was carried out during a river checkpoint at the pier of the village of La Tagua, municipality of Puerto Leguízamo, where units of the Navy Infantry Brigade No. 3 carried out inspection and control tasks to people and boats that pass through this important river route.
During the, alias Bony, a 28-year-old man was arrested, who had a valid arrest warrant for the crimes of association to commit crimes, extortion and aggravated homicide. The alleged offender was put into custody of the National Police to conduct the respective prosecution process in accordance with the law.
Through this arrest, the Military Forces will significantly hit the support networks of the GAOr Carolina Ramirez Structure, responsible for carrying out logistical coordination in the urban areas, facilitating the criminal action of this organized armed group in the department of Putumayo.
