In an effort to strengthen the commitment to environmental protection, the Colombian Aerospace Force carried out a planting activity of 200 trees in the Colorados village, in the municipality of Puerto Salgar, department of Cundinamarca. This activity was carried out in coordination with the Diógenes Troncoso Hospital, consolidating joint events for the sustainable development of the region.
During the activity, on the part of the Environmental Management Section, of the Air Combat Command No.1, different native specimens such as yellow guayacanes, pink guayacanes, and annatto were planted, which will contribute to the recovery of ecosystems, improvement of air quality and conservation of local biodiversity.
The activity was conducted by military personnel and health sector professionals, who joined efforts to increase awareness about the importance of caring for natural resources. In the same way, these types of initiatives manage to strengthen ties with the community, promoting a responsible and participatory environmental culture.
The Colombian Aerospace Force continues to carry out strategies that integrate environmental protection into its mission, demonstrating that coordinated work with different institutions is key to generating a positive impact on the environment and contributing to the well-being of future generations.
