In the framework of military operations, the Rapid Deployment Force No. 6 engaged an armed combat in the village of Los Angeles, in the municipality of Puerto Guzmán, department of Putumayo, against members of the residual organized armed group known as Comandos de Frontera.
During the operation, one of the alleged members of this structure was slightly injured. Immediately, the combat nurses gave him first aid and stabilized him, leaving him out of danger. Later, he was removed of the operations area and taken to the nearest medical center, where he currently is in stable condition.
As a result of this operation, it was possible to find two 5.56 caliber rifles, 10 magazines, six explosive devices, 12 60 mm grenades, 600 cartridges of different calibers and material of interest for intelligence work
Military operations continue in this area of the south of the country with the firm purpose of increasing the security and tranquility of the inhabitants, preventing criminal operations and weakening the logistical and armed resources of the illegal groups operating in the region.
